Want to work in sustainable fashion? If you’re aged 14-30 and interested in helping with Slogue youth-led events, email joannegambale@slogue.com.au
At Slogue, we believe fashion is better when it’s collaborative — and that the best way to learn is by doing, together.
Our Flip Fashion Forever workshops aren’t just about upcycling clothes — they’re about building a supportive community of young creatives who care about sustainability, self-expression and skill-sharing. That’s why we’re developing a mentorship pathway that starts within the workshops themselves.
Young workshop attendees aged 14 and up who show commitment, creativity, and a basic grasp of sewing or design can apply to become mentors-in-training. In exchange for discounted (and later free) attendance at our camps, these mentors buddy up with younger participants — offering guidance, encouragement and a friendly face.
As they grow in confidence, mentors will be invited to join the Slogue freelance team, gaining access to collaborative projects, events and paid opportunities in circular fashion and youth leadership.
We see mentorship as a creative exchange — a chance for experienced students to step up, and for younger ones to feel supported by those closer in age, with whom they can relate.
