In 2024, we invited young people to turn textile waste into runway looks at Footprints EcoFestival

We thought we were creating a one-day event.

We didn't realise we were creating the beginning of Slogue's youth mentor team.

Several of the teenagers who walked that runway, including Amelie (pictured), Esther and Siobhan, are now inspiring the next generation of young makers at our Fashion Flips.

Meanwhile, Footprints is back this year with a new name (ReFest) and new location, which happens to be the home of our flagship Flip Fashion Forever camp :0)

We feel a sequel coming on

This spring, we're inviting the next gen of makers to work alongside the Slogue mentor team to turn rescued textiles into original wearable pieces for the ReFest 2026 runway.

Using rescued clothing and a special collection of festival-inspired materials, participants will have the opportunity to experiment, take creative risks and create something they might never normally make.

Think colour.

Think texture.

Think "go big or go home."

This is your chance to let your imagination run wild.

• A pre-ReFest creative meet-up with Samara and the Slogue mentor team.

Who can join?

The ReFest Runway Project is open to anyone who loves making, experimenting and expressing themselves through clothing.

Whether you've attended one Flip Fashion Forever workshop or many, we'd love to hear from you.

Places will be limited so every participant receives plenty of creative support.

The ReFest Runway Project marks the beginning of something even bigger.

We're currently developing the Slogue Youth Collective—a year-round creative community for young people who want to keep making, collaborating and growing beyond the school holidays.
